In brief, 'smudging' or the act of burning sage herb, is a ritual widely used within Shamanic and Neoshamanic cultures. It

is an ancient practice and is used by many Native American tribes to enhance connection with the spiritual realm. The Pagan and Wiccan culture, amongst others, use it widely, for its powers of dispelling negative energies, to empower and to cleanse. The fans created by BlackCat are each uniquely hand-crafted and are lovingly made by practitioners of Wicca and are designed for ritual use, however they may simply be used for ornamental purposes.
