Hello everyone.
Hope you all enjoying the weather! I am absolutely enjoying every minute but my office is boiling with all the machines on. I tend to work early in the morning, around 4 am, so it is not too hot. But my office gets sun all day, the sun beams from the window and I keep my blinds closed. Still boiling!
Anyway, today I thought to mention something that upset me last few days. I always try to keep positivity on my page, you know?
As you all know, I am everything in my office. That's how my prices stay affordable to everyone. I post after 2 days unless something happened out of my hand and I will always communicate with the customer and let them know.
So, I had 2 customers didn't accept the delivery and it was returned to me. Why? Because they refused to accept it. Because it "didn't arrive on time."
Thing is, I sent those 2 orders the same day and they arrived after 2 days, just as they selected via 48hr tracked. When I got the notification from Royal Mail, I messaged them.
One said I put the wrong address. I said I can send to the right address but it would cost again to resend it. They said it would be too late to gift and want a refund. I said it's not refundable because it is personalised!
And now the other customer is saying she doesn't want it because she bought something else. Both are now treating me with PayPal chargeback.
Just to remind everyone (I am not complaining, but just reminding everyone. I am a small business run from home and I work personally with each product with my hands.
This is my business, not a hobby. It is where my bills get paid from. Each personalised item is specifically made for you. So if I get back anything personalised with a name, how would I sell it?! I am at a loss. I am not a big company, only me working behind the scenes.
As a small business, I have to keep going and don't let things like this get to me. But it's easy said than done when it hits you directly like this.
