屋根よりた〜か〜いこいの〜ぼ〜り〜♬🎏🎏🎏Happy Children’s Day❣️🎏🥰
This year I really wanted to decorate before the London Marathon 🏃♀️ to wish my son Mr T the best of luck for his very first big run‼️
So as soon as I returned from Japan 🇯🇵, I did it 💪😆
This samurai kabuto helmet travelled 🛳 from Japan 🇯🇵 about 24 years ago‼️And yes, I added a tiny koinobori 🎏 in a beer tin 😝
Children’s Day — May 5th 🎏
These koinobori (carp-shaped windsocks) are flown on May 5th in Japan to celebrate Children’s Day.The carp symbolizes courage and ambition, inspired by a legend of a carp 🎏 that swam all the way upstream and became a dragon 🐲🐉.
Flying them represents wishes for strength, safety, and good health for children.
There are two dragons in our family! - Mr T and me‼️I mean… we’re both Year of the Dragon 🐲🐉😆
The traditional samurai helmet called “kabuto” we display is as a symbol of strength and protection - wishing children a healthy, strong, and successful future 😊
Koinobori 1m 🎏 are available too!
