👶BABY WIPES👶
Hands up how many are still using single use baby wipes?! I get it, they are convenient and accessible for most people. There are however, so many reasons why you should make the switch to a cloth alternative.
♻️ THE ENVIRONMENT! Single use baby wipes contain micro plastics which end up in our beautiful oceans and are a huge cause of blockages in our sewers. They also take around 100 years to biodegrade!
♻️ CHEMICALS! Single use wipes are full of chemicals, some of them are definitely things you wouldn't want to put onto your babies skin. Cloth wipes are made from natural cotton so much kinder to the skin.
♻️ MONEY! In the long run, disposable wipes are much more costly. Costing anything between 50p and £2 per pack, your money is effectively going into the bin. Cloth wipes have an initial outlay, but they are well worth the investment as they will save you £100's in the long run. Imagine not having to buy wipes with your weekly shop!
♻️ EFFECTIVENESS! Ever noticed how you normally need 2 or 3 wipes to clean up a messy bum? That's because disposable wipes are not that great at doing their job and will often just smear the mess around. Cloth wipes are super gripy and are hugely effective at cleaning up messes with just one wipe. They are super soft too.
You might be thinking, how do I use them? Well quite simply, you just run them under the tap and then use. There really is no need for anything else. Small spray bottles are handy for out and about if you have no access to fresh water. Once you've used them, pop them in the wash and watch them come out clean time and time again!
