Carol Barbe Designer Born in Yorkshire, Carol Barbe was already designing and making clothes in her early teens. Going on

Since 1986, she has specialised in designing bridal wear and evening wear. Her designs for the Cheshire proms have become as popular as her bespoke bridal gowns. During the 1990’s Carol sold collections of her gowns to bridal stores all over the UK and also took her designs to America, but has now gone back to basics, preferring to work alone on “one off” original creations for her clients. Carol

specialises in designing beautiful original bridal gowns. She works closely with the bride from their first meeting, beginning with sketches and fabric samples. She always listens to the brides’ requirements and specifications. Carol can design bridesmaids dresses to compliment the bridal gown and also to the individuality of the bridesmaid. Carol has regular customers for her stunning evening wear, such as a high profile opera singer and a number of clients in the entertainment industry. For any special event Carol can create something beautiful or lavish, understated or flamboyant. Carol is based in Cheshire, but is available to clients all over the UK.
