He never sought the spotlight. He distributed books. He mentored pastors. He helped shape one of the largest Protestant denominations in America yet most people have never heard his name.

Ernest Reisinger's story runs from his conversion in wartime to business success, pastoral ministry, and a grassroots literature distribution effort whose reach is almost impossible to quantify. The climax is his role in what became known as the Founders movement, a sustained effort to call the Southern Baptist Convention back to confessional, gospel-centered convictions.

Tom Ascol, who knew him personally, put it this way: Reisinger was "a mentor, friend, and great encourager" in the ministry.
