Back at Brighter Day HQ after a brutally long journey home and spinning some of my purchases, including this Flower Travelling Band LP. Such a fascinating Japanese Band!

I've most of the records slowly working their way across land which should take about ten weeks to arrive, but I've enough to get stuck into in the meantime.

It really was a phenomenal trip 🌞

I'm sitting at Nagoya airport with feelings of joy and sadness.

These few weeks in Japan were magical. Some wonderful time spent within mountains, forest, record shops, shrines and family events. Sad to be leaving, but i imagine a return trip will be booked within 48 hours.

Yuri and I had our "Japanese wedding" in Kameyama. And to share that with her family was truly very memorable.

I made new friends (MY friends here in Japan). And had laughs with old ones.

I picked up a few few bits before we caught the train to the airport.

It's a brutal flight with a six hour lay over in China. I feel a cold coming on and I already miss the convenience stores.

A random wheel thingy will find this beautiful Japanese pressing of this Beatles LP when i land back in the UK Wednesday.

This adopion will be run over a few different platforms, I will make sure everyone who enters will get a chance to win. Please only enter on the one platform, it's not cricket otherwise.

Yes it's another Bealtes LP (I gave away a Japanese pressing of Help a week ago. Thanks again to all those who eneter). I promise to mix it up for the future.

I'm so close to 3,000 followers on Instagram and 1,000 on Facebook. Is it vein to want to reach that target? As previously mentioned a repost isn't required, but is certainly appreciated.

Last full day in Japan. It's been an amazing trip. I do love the sign for the local taxi service here in Kameyama 🐢

Engagement party (aka our Japanese wedding) with Yuri's family and friends was magical. The food and cake was bloody delicious.

Getting ready for the official big day in two months. Crumbs that's soon.

Today i visited my favourite record shop in Japan, RED HOUSE(レッドハウス). A shop i first visited six years ago (with a different owner).

They always have fantastic records... and this is just a few I picked up today.

Tomorrow (Saturday) is the big engagement party. I had thought it today. All the days are mushing into one. Perfect.

Today i picked up a hire car and went on a solo dare whilst Yuri spent time with some family.

I had, quite simply, the finest cup of coffee in the finest coffee shop in Sekijuku; an Edo period town, which is a nationally protected heritage area in Japan.

I then stumbled and fell into a record shop and bought some lovely records...
..before visiting Iga Ueno Castle, within Ueno park, is beautiful. The small museum inside full of treasures and incredible views.

And yuri has called to say she has made some fried chicken with her mum and its ready for me to come eat.

Possibly the best day for buying so far!

I was back in Nagoya and only visited two shops, Greatest Hits and Banana Records and i managed to get these... as well as a few more.

Tomorrow I hire a car and going on a solo date to visit some historical sights whilst Yuri spends time with family. And then the follow day it is our big engagement party here in Japan. Expect photos. Lots of photos.

When in Japan, it's essentially to see New Japan Professional Wrestling. Some of the best in the world jump and around and slap each other in incredibly convincing ways.

A glorious time with Yuri, her sister snd two of her children.

Back to buying recoeds tomorrow!

I'm in Kameyama, the hometown of my wife (to be), Yuri.

We arrived last night. The streets are always full of beautiful light and shadows. Today i jumped on a train to Tsu to buy some records, including this City Pop classic by Anri.

I also picked up a few other items I couldn't quite leave behind.

I then joined a local gym for a week, as I've missed the one back home like a sicko and now thinking about where we shall go for dinner.

No chocolate bird shaped donuts where hurt in the process of this post 😋
