Hartside Mountain 38 Results. Round 3 of the Wolf Cycles Eden Valley Time Trial League took place last night on what we would consider the best time trial circuit in England.

Alex picked up his second win of the season ahead of David Gleave who was at the head of a flurry of riders just under the 1 hour 40 mark. In the V50's Bryan Pool picked up first place for his first points of the year after a mechanical in round 2. A strong turn out in the Female category with six riders, Em came out on top on their debut. With an honourable mention to Lauren Young who completed the course having never ridden that far before.

Round 4 next week on Hartside Hill Climb hosted by Rock To Roll Cycling Club.

Results from yesterday’s Castle Carrock Road Race.

Tough racing in strong cross winds lead to some big time splits.

Adam Hartley attacked very early on, after declaring he didn’t want it to come to a bunch sprint, soon followed by Tarn Fynn. The pair worked well together well throughout the race with Adam getting the better of Tarn in the closing stages. Alistair McNicol was the strongest from a small chasing group getting away with a late move and Lewis Mulholland besting the likes of Jack Barlow and Ed Hindmarsh in the small chase group.

Was a great day of racing, thanks to all that came and all the volunteers.

Eden Valley TT League is coming thick and fast đź’¨

Round 3 is being held next Wednesday on the Hartside Mountain 38 mile circuit. A classic of the local time trial scene was returned to the calendar last year and remains our favourite.

Start/finish is in outside the pub in Talkin Village and takes in the most direct lap round Hartside. First rider will be off at 6.30pm and is ÂŁ5 entry on the night. Please make sure you have front and rear lights.

Round two of the Eden Valley Time Trial League took place on Wednesday night held at Calthwaite by Rock To Roll Cycling Club. The course was cut short to 5 miles due to road works however there was still a great turn out of 31 riders starting on a stunning sunny night.

Overall, Alex stepped back on top with the absence of the two top contenders at round one closely followed by Oliver only 2 seconds back. In the road bike category Ed and Keith swapped places from round 1 and are now joint second overall. There was a strong female presence with 6 riders providing a good battle, Daisy Barnes came out on top again. Gert Gammelin continued his 2025 domination in the V50 category with another win and picking up good points for Border City Wheelers who are now only 2 points behind Carlisle Tri Club in the team standings however Carlisle Tri keep putting a strong team in across the categories allowing them to pick up a good amounts of points each round.

The rounds come thick and fast in June with rounds being held 3 weeks on the bounce. Round 3 is on 10th June taking in the Hartside Mountain 38 course that is a local favourite after being reinstated last year. The following week is Rock to Roll's Hartside hill climb (17th June) and the week after that is Border City Wheelers' Crown 10 (24th June).
