Spotted: staring at the sun ☀️
To be clear, only inside Saatchi Gallery, where Luke Jerram’s monumental glowing Helios is the one sun you’re allowed to gaze at directly.

Tonight over London: a 91% solar eclipse peaking just after 7pm, the best since 1999. Then Venus rises in the west, and the Perseids fling up to 100 shooting stars an hour overnight under a new-moon-dark sky.

And for the truly committed: set an alarm. Before sunrise, six planets stage a procession across the eastern sky. Mars and Saturn are visible to the naked eye; the rest reward those with binoculars and ambition.

One rule: don’t actually stare at the sun. ISO-certified eclipse glasses or a pinhole projector only, darlings. Your retinas are not an exhibit.

Four weeks. One square. Endless moments. 🎾🏎️

Sloane Square wrapped its biggest Ralph Lauren Summer of Sport yet — and what a run it was. Tim Henman opened the doors, The RL Clubhouse kept things buzzing with cookie decorating, floral workshops + lawn games for every generation, and once Wimbledon started, the square turned into our favourite viewing spot (Pimm’s in hand, obviously).

Then Lando Norris showed up and cranked the energy to eleven — fans hopped in the simulator, he sat down for a Q&A, and Sloane Square briefly became a paddock.

Tennis mornings, race-day afternoons, community every single day — and 100% of workshop proceeds going straight to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity along the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this summer. The square isn’t done yet - Summer in Sloane Square is back turning the space into Chelsea’s favourite al fresco terrace with Mexican bites, cocktails, and live music every Thursday evening, running right through to September.
