"To all at Newham Books, Just a quick note to say thank you for your wonderful service and help over the last few years! I'm leaving a Newham-based job this week, and not sure how often I'll be back in the area -- but will really miss being able to pop in at lunchtimes for a browse, or to seek help with a (ridiculously vague, usually!) book I'm trying to find. You've coped with everything from "there's this Christmas book they were talking about on Radio 4 last week...." to "I don't suppose you've got any books about someone losing a tooth?”, and I've found dozens of unexpected treasures along the way. The shop has become a real haven, providing a welcome escape from work, for a little while at least. I'm sure you've been told this before but it's a really special place.”
