On my first trip to Europe I took thousands of photos. Five percent were of me and ninety-five percent were of old buildings with beautiful architecture so I began keeping a sketchbook of my travels, specifically illustrating buildings I found particularly lovely, top sights, and places of significance to me. London holds a special place in my heart, and my business. It was my first trip to Europe and where I started illustrating my travels, which grew into Studioist. 💖🎨

I couldn’t even comprehend the history the place had seen. Buildings many, many years older than the U.S. as a country!!! Architecture like I had never seen. It was all so grand, so brilliant and beautiful. I have maybe 50 pics of me around the city and thousands of the buildings and streets.

On the second day we had a free afternoon so a few of us decided to walk and explore. Well we stumbled upon Buckingham Palace. It was a true “Omg, I’m really in London!” moment.

Fun fact: Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms: 78 bathrooms, 52 royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices, and 19 state rooms, among others. It also boasts the largest private garden in London.

Seeing Queen Elizabeth II’s procession on the news today really made her passing feel real. It marks the end of an incredible life and reign. It also marks the end of something steadfast and constant. I’m not British, but she is the only monarch I (and the majority of people) have ever seen on the throne. It’s strange we may not see another Queen in our lifetimes. 🇬🇧

I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me and my little shop through illustration orders, kind comments, sharing with friends, posting on social + more. 💕I appreciate you being here—even those of you who are silent followers—and love hearing your stories.

This year I am especially grateful for all of your patience while I’m figuring out how to balance my business with motherhood. 👏

The next two weeks will be my busiest while I wrap up custom orders for the holidays and prep for 🎁🎄

I hope you got to spend yesterday with the people you love + tons of food.

I’m delighted to share that I’ll be back at this holiday season 🎄🎁

Before launching I wandered the stalls of every Porter Flea market dreaming of one day being a vendor. This market has a special place in my heart + it’s a true honor to be back.

I’ve been working double-time prepping new illustrations + products to debut, and pulling together some old favorites to bring to market.

I can’t believe this will be my first IN-PERSON market since December 2019. Eeeee I’m just so excited! Waking up to my acceptance letter was the best way to start a new month. Only 38 sleeps away!

The is my best friend. 💙💛 October is so here are a few things you should be aware of:

🔹you’ll smile like till your cheeks ache + laugh till your belly hurts.

🔹you’ll be taught more about patience, kindness, and love than you knew was possible.

🔹you’ll be in the presence of true joy, the brightest light.

There’s That extra chromosome shows us— the chromosomal-y deficient—how wonderful, precious, and amazing life can truly be.
