Some of my favourite areas in Casa Batlló; where Gaudí’s imagination feels almost underwater. 🌊✨

The room where the Prosecco was served 🥂, beneath a spectacular chandelier set into a ceiling that looks like waves of whipped cream.

The corridor resembles the bones of a whale 🐋, while the tiled walls have a beautiful, almost permanently wet appearance, like looking into a sliced-open sea.

Every detail feels organic and fluid, as if the entire building is alive and moving. 🫧

Gaudí really did have an extraordinary imagination. ✨

✨ Casa Batlló; from the first step to the rooftop ✨

A little photo journey through my visit to Casa Batlló in May 2024. 🇪🇸

Starting with that little plastic coin 🪙 for my glass of Prosecco 🥂, then moving through the incredible details inside; the flowing shapes, colourful mosaics, beautiful windows and Gaudí’s wonderfully imaginative interiors.

And finally, up to the rooftop, where the iconic dragon’s back comes into view. 🐉✨

Every room had something different to discover, and the closer you look, the more fascinating Gaudí’s imagination becomes.

A few of my favourite moments from start to finish; and there’s still so much more I could have photographed! 📸

✨ Stepping inside Casa Batlló ✨

And this is where the magic really begins! ✨

When I entered, I was given a little plastic coin to exchange for a glass of Prosecco 🥂, plus a tablet and headphones included in the package I had chosen.

And honestly, I’d strongly recommend choosing a ticket that includes the tablet!✨

Through the tablet’s lens, Gaudí’s imaginary world comes alive. 🪄 The windows transform into turtle shells 🐢, the fireplace takes on the appearance of a mushroom 🍄, and suddenly the building and its rooms feel like living, breathing creatures.

It completely changes the way you experience Casa Batlló; you’re not just looking at Gaudí’s architecture, you’re seeing the world through his imagination. ✨

The perfect introduction to Casa Batlló.

Before exploring the house itself, visitors step into the Gaudí Dôme; an immersive experience inspired by the natural world that shaped Gaudí’s imagination. The dark surroundings, mesmerising lights and powerful visuals create a magical atmosphere that feels both mysterious and enchanting.

A beautiful way to begin the journey through one of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks.

Part 1 of my Casa Batlló visit. More to come… 💙🇪🇸

First time seeing Magic Mike and it absolutely lived up to expectations 😆😍 The ticket prices were high, so I was expecting a lot; and it definitely delivered! 👍

We were on the ground floor in the middle rows, and even there we still got some interaction 😭😆 I’ve only shared clips that are reasonably “online safe”, but honestly there was a lot more going on that didn’t make it into the video! 😍🎉

If I had to give advice for anyone booking: go for end-of-row seats on the ground floor if you want more interaction, or upstairs if you’d prefer a better overall view and slightly better value for money. Either way, it’s a brilliant night 😍

🇳🇬 My First Nigerian Food Experience… WOW! 🤯🔥

Dinner with my lovely colleague Fatimah before she starts her exciting new chapter outside London. 🥹❤️ I wanted to treat her to a memorable farewell meal.

Finding the right restaurant wasn’t easy! 😭 Fatimah only eats halal food and loves Nigerian cuisine, so we needed somewhere that ticked every box ✔️ Thankfully, Enish was the perfect choice.

It was my very first time trying Nigerian food, so I was really excited! 😆🇳🇬

Before the food even arrived, Fatimah recommended I try a lightly sparkling alcoholic drink. 🍹 At first, I wasn’t entirely sure about it; it reminded me of a fermented sparkling drink and wasn’t sweet at all, which is very different from what I’m used to. 🤔 But as the meal went on, I actually started to enjoy it more, and by the end I understood why it paired so well with the food.

Fatimah then recommended I start with a spicy fish soup, and knowing how much I love spicy food, there was absolutely no way I was saying no. 🌶️😂

It turned out to be a huge steamed fish in a rich, spicy soup rather than the kind of soup I was expecting… and oh my, I absolutely loved it!! 💕 If I had to describe the flavour, I’d say it reminded me a little of Thai food, but with fewer herbs. I literally picked the fish clean down to the bones. 😆👍

Our main dishes looked incredibly colourful. 😳 After the starter, I was expecting another massive flavour bomb, but they were actually much gentler and more delicate in flavour. The braised meat was beautifully tender, and the soft, gooey yam was such a comforting combination. ❤️

The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the evening, which made the experience even better. 😊

It was a little on the pricey side, but the food was absolutely delicious and I’m so glad I finally got to experience Nigerian cuisine. Thank you, Fatimah, for introducing me to such an amazing dinner, and I wish you all the very best in your next adventure. ❤️✨

One of my favourite moments from Barcelona! 😍💕

After an incredible visit to the Sagrada Família, I made my way to the Alaire Rooftop Bar at Hotel Condes de Barcelona… and as soon as the lift doors opened to THAT view… WOW!! 😆💕 It honestly took my breath away!

If you’re visiting, you simply must sit on the outdoor terrace and soak it all in. The views across Barcelona are absolutely stunning, with the Sagrada Família looking even more spectacular from up there. 🌇✨

I treated myself to a glass of Prosecco and a few nibbles, then just sat there marvelling at the beautiful skyline. It was one of those perfect travel moments where you don’t need to rush anywhere—you just relax, take in the view, and appreciate how lucky you are to be there. 🥂💛

Definitely one of my favourite rooftop bars in Barcelona! 🇪🇸❤️

The rooftop views from the Sagrada Família 😍✨

When I visited in Barcelona in May 2024 🇪🇸, getting up close to Gaudí’s incredible work while looking out across the city was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience ❤️

The towers are even more impressive in person, and the views over Barcelona were absolutely stunning 🌇✨

And I have to say, the final shot of the Sagrada Família at the end of this video might just be the best photo I took on the whole trip 😆📸💕
