We have a special announcement!

In May 2011, Miss Darcy, an apricot cockapoo, confidently bounced past her astounded new human Mum, into her London Forever Home. It was May’s first ever dog and she really didn’t know what she got herself into.

All too soon, because May had separation anxiety, Miss Darcy became the girl about London. May would check out all the dog-friendly parks, shops and restaurants in various London neighbourhoods. They pretty much went everywhere together.

When she turned two, May decided to write a blog about Miss Darcy’s Adventures (www.missdarcy.org) of living in the city and shared tips on how to manoeuvre London. She wanted to let other dog owners know that they can live their everyday life with their dogs.

Before long they travelled afar. They were criss-crossing Europe and ventured further to America. Every hurdle became a challenge and they found ways to make it happen. Darcy visited 26 countries in total and countless cities. She was always on some form of adventure whether it be discovering parts of London or finding ways on how to get to Montreal or Belgrade.

Sadly, Miss Daryc’s adventures came to an end when she lost a short battle with cancer in January 2022.

At first it was a fun collaboration. Today, this means Darcy Dog can continue her legacy and her zest for adventures.

Darcy Dog has been a labour of love. And we hope she will become a favourite and comforting toy for a child (big or small). Whether nestled in small hands or a warm pocket, this way Darcy continues her life adventures.

We are very proud to announce that we now have a retail display cabinet within

Alby, the hotel’s mascot, will now have a number of friends to keep him busy which should hopefully keep him out of mischief.

When Brown’s Hotel opened its doors in 1837 as one of London’s first hotels, it soon became a hive of pioneering activity, attracting royalty, dignitaries and local luminaries. The hotel has celebrated a string of firsts, including the first telephone call in London made by the telephone’s inventor, Alexander Graham Bell. Rudyard Kipling penned The Jungle Book here, and hence the grandest suite is named the Kipling Suite. The hotel has been visited by everyone from Queen Elizabeth to the explorer Jacques Cousteau and was also thought to be the inspiration for Agatha Christie’s At Bertram’s Hotel.

The stunningly appointed bedroom with king-sized bed and walk-in wardrobe is accented by gold and green hand-painted Lewis & Wood wallpaper and one-of-a-kind artwork. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook historic Albemarle Street’s designer boutiques. The Kipling Suite’s luxurious Italian Arabescato marble bathroom features a freestanding bath, a double shower, double washbasins and indulgent toiletries.

The Lion 🇬🇧🦁

Did you know that Lions do most of their hunting at night as their eyes have adapted to the dark and this gives them a huge advantage over their prey. They hunt more during storms as the noise and wind make it harder for prey to see and hear them. When hunting, lionesses have specific roles.

We are so proud of our toy 🦁 🇬🇧

The lion is a muscular, deep-chested large cat with a rounded head, a reduced neck, round ears and fur that differs in color from light buff to silvery grey, yellowish red and dark brown.

A lion’s mane is one of its most recognizable features, but only male lions grow manes. When male lions reach a year old, their mane starts growing. The color of the mane varies and darkens with age.

Some research shows that its size and color are influenced by environmental factors, such as average ambient temperature, and the presence of parasites such as ticks and fleas.
