Dear friends, sadly the end is upon us. After some glorious years, I will be shutting down vinyl operations at Crescendo. It’s been fun and have met some wonderful people. Thanks for the opportunity. Crescendo thrives and continues for all instrument, lesson, music book and gift needs, it’s just my little vinyl corner that is moving on. I will be hosting some clearance sales from home in the very near future. More info will follow so watch this space.

This was part way through an epic excavation project…. Something like 3,000 records stored in a damp shed for years. I now have them all out. Lots of cleaning to be done (every single one needs it) but majority are in remarkably good condition. Mostly 12” singles from 90’s…. It’s a long project but will slowly be getting them in the shop.

Beavering away behind the scenes here.

You know the drill…. You get the call… “my mum has some records to sell”… “that’s great, what kind of thing?”… “ah, some 70’s pop, bit of classical and a few Indian records.” “Can you give me an example of any artists?”. “Oh, I don’t know…. Barbara Streisand.” Resigned internal sigh…. Except the few Indian records, they might be worth a short journey. Let’s have a look.

Appreciate, these records aren’t setting the world on fire… but from sales pitch to haul (obviously a few have been edited out… Gloria Estefan and budget Beethoven, I’m looking at you!), it’s a nice little selection to hit the racks soon.

Morning folks. We’re open today a bit later than normal…. 12:00-14:30… then I’m afraid that’s it for the year.

New Year will bring about a change. I (Nick) am stepping back. I’m not going to be in the shop any longer, but Crescendo will continue to sell vinyl and CDs for the time being and I will be assisting in supplying stock.
