Sometimes the biggest cards aren’t the ones with a gold stamp or a low serial number.
This is the 2025 Topps NOW Ballon d’Or Lamine Yamal Kopa Trophy Winner. At first glance it looks like just another base card, but it’s anything but. It’s an image variation short print, making it significantly tougher to pull than the standard version. Topps specifically inserted these image variations as rare chase cards.
This copy is still raw, but the grading data makes for interesting reading. PSA has graded just 19 copies, and remarkably none have achieved a PSA 10. That’s an incredibly tough population for a modern Topps NOW card and shows just how condition-sensitive these are.
For me, this is exactly the sort of card worth paying attention to. You’re looking at one of the defining cards of a player who already has the football world at his feet. Lamine Yamal isn’t just another exciting prospect; he’s already creating history, and cards tied to landmark moments like his Kopa Trophy win have every chance of becoming key pieces in his collecting journey.
