www.twitter.com/TheLagoonGroup We own the copyright to all our products, which are thought up by a team of great British minds. The products are not only fun to play, read and do, they look visually appealing and are made of top quality materials. Most of the products are sold in compact free of charge display units which look
attractive in store and allow you to take them from carton to shelf with a minimum of fuss. We have promotional videos (http://www.youtube.com/user/TheLagoonGroup?feature=CBAQwRs%3D) of many of our products and free of charge screens to help you sell the product in-store or on-line. We also have a website where people can get clues and solutions (http://www.give-me-a-clue.com/) to all our puzzles. We realise how important it is for you to have new product in your shops, so we bring out lots of innovative new gifts each year. In 2012 we added more than 100 new gifts, including our first major licensed product – the Beano range - which was launched to huge acclaim in July. With Beano about to celebrate its 75th birthday there are plenty of us who have grown up following the naughty antics of Dennis and Gnasher and for the younger audience its back on our TV screens this year on CBBC. Lagoon was founded in 1988 with the aim of selling great games and puzzles as gifts for men. Founder Simon Melhuish came up with the idea after meeting a carpenter while travelling around Thailand on his gap year. The first products that Lagoon launched – in a stand no bigger than a broom cupboard at Harrogate Home & Gift - were six wooden puzzles. They sold out immediately. Many more wooden puzzles followed. Then Simon branched into games and then in 1997 MD Heather Watherston joined him to develop the publishing arm of Lagoon. Now, nearly 25 years on, Lagoon has a London office, a network of distributors around the world and a range of nearly 350 puzzles, games and books. All the gifts are designed in-house but manufacturing is out-sourced. The company is committed to working with its manufacturers to ensure responsible working conditions. We comply to and exceed EN71 European trading standards and ASTM and CPSIA, the American trading standards. We don’t have reps or agents but we keep in touch by phone, email and post. We pride ourselves on our service - if you order by midday, and your order doesn’t need labelling or booking in, you should receive delivery the next day. Feedback on either our service or our products is always welcome! Thank you for looking at what we do and we hope you find that buying presents for men (and women and children) has never been easier!
