Hello London — a little late to the party, but we wanted to send our warmest congratulations to everyone involved in setting up ’s Keller, the new synth shop in the basement of the new, massive Rough Trade.
Edd Butterworth, who worked with us for years at London Modular, was never just staff — he was part of the soul of the place. Honest, dependable, full of energy, and completely obsessed with sound and patching, he lived it the same way we did.
We got so carried away in the shop making noise that we’d often ignore customers — and somehow that was the sales technique. Edd understood that instinctively and was brilliant at it.
London Modular Alliance was always more than a shop — we made records, played shows, and threw real parties. Edd joined us for the long soundchecks, performed alongside us, and somehow made magic with the smallest rigs. His role on the live side was every bit as vital as his work in the shop.
So to see Edd now leading ’s Keller alongside SchneidersLaden GmbH, and Jean from MFB just makes perfect sense.
Wherever you are in the UK now, you’re never far from a great synth shop — Elevator Sound in Bristol, Sound in Glasgow, And now: ’s Keller in London.
It’s early days, but they’ve got a killer location, a beautifully fitted-out space, and real support from Berlin. The stock will grow. The new web site is coming. The vibe is already there.
There’ll be events, workshops, and everything synth. And if you’re a manufacturer looking for the right person to represent your brand in London — talk to Edd. He gets it.
He’ll be at Superbooth Berlin GmbH next week, and we’re just grateful for everything he brought to London Modular. His energy helped shape what we were.
We miss what we did — but we did it for a long time. It was time to stop. And now it’s time for something new. London’s in good hands.
— With love from all of us at London Modular
