I must be doing something right.
Back in 2023, I was commissioned by to produce glassware as part of the Art/Form Drinks Menu in London 🍸. The project celebrated Yayoi Kusama and was inspired by the Louis Vuitton × Yayoi Kusama trunk, translating art, fashion, and form into functional objects. It was a great success and remains one of my proudest creative collaborations.
Recently, I noticed glassware from — Azul Spot Cocktail Glass — that closely aligns with my "Infinity Server" concept, sharing a similar colour palette and visual language, reinterpreted through a more dotted pattern. Design can be adapted in many ways and still be considered distinct, even when the influence is evident. That’s often how ideas move through the industry.
Design naturally evolves as it moves into different spaces. Concept-led work can be transformed to suit a wider commercial audience through changes in detail, finish, or production, and that evolution is part of the creative ecosystem. I stand confidently behind the original vision, story, and craftsmanship of "Infinity Server" — creatives always recognise where ideas begin. 🙌🏽
That said, I do appreciate the Azul Spot Cocktail Glass from — it’s refreshing to see pieces that are clearly handmade, thoughtfully produced, and adapted for industry use.
