Light Grooves - A Photography Exhibition by Kensei Kataoka

Kensei Kataoka (Kensei Kataoka) presents Light Grooves at Caravan Worldwide.

The exhibition features a selection of photographs taken in Japan before the artist relocated to London, bringing together an earlier body of work in a newly considered presentation. A new zine will also be available throughout the exhibition.

About:

A photograph is made with the body, and it returns to the body. It no longer feels like photography is a medium, it feels more like one concept among many. What is printed is light and you’re the one who reads that light. Whatever rises, rises from within the one who looks. And in that, you are also being seen.

DJ sets by , , Keisuke Wada, and Rentaro.

The opening will also feature special pieces by chiqa, visiting from Japan. His work includes rigid denim and one-of-one remade garments inspired by traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

本展では、日本で撮影された写真作品を中心に展示。ロンドンへ拠点を移す以前に制作された写真群をあらためて見つめ直し、構成された展示となっています。あわせて、新作ジンも会場にて販売予定です。
