This beautiful pair of butterfly prints caught the interest of our expert mount cutter and resident entomologist, Ray. What Ray doesn't know about lepidoptera and odonata you could write on an ants' backside. We take an interest in all the artwork but if the art is of special interest to us this can only improve the end result.

Ray's solution to framing these two lepidoptera is to use a simple black frame which matches the intensity of the wings, without competing with their colour. A simple white background is behind the raised print to create a shadow effect, thus attracting the eye towards the images. Nice one Ray!
