It's Fashion Revolution Week and the call to action is to ask brands to demand transparency in the industry.
Our bags are made by a charity in Tanzania, who train women in sewing to give them a livelihood skill, so they can be financially independent.

WORK LIFE BALANCE | | I am a big believer in the importance of this! My full time job is in HR so I really try to practice what I preach I here, even though it can be difficult when starting a business! I spend time on my weekends working on Mila but try to do it in relaxing locations, and use it as a way to explore London's cafés!
Alongside all of the work involved in running Mila, I also try to educate myself on the issues within the fashion industry, so I can run Mila in the best way possible. This picture if from when I was doing the Fashion's Future course by learning about the SDG's, which I really recommend!

FUTURE GOALS | | I have so many! I would love to expand Mila to work with more artisans across the world. I hope to increase our community impact and support a wider range of traditionally made crafts.
My future goals for Mila are so interlinked with Keika Vimaka's goals. This year the charity hope to complete the hostel building so that women from the villages can also access training. They also want to start a natural soap making programme, which I'm very excited for!
