Available - A Victorian memorial brooch choker, centred with woven hairwork beneath glass and encircled by seed pearls. The black enamel panel is inscribed “In Memory Of” and set within an ornate gilt frame, now mounted on a wide black velvet ribbon choker. A beautiful and deeply personal example of Victorian mourning jewellery.

Available - An early 20th-century black printed-net blouse, circa 1900-1910.

Made in fine sheer net with a high collar, long fitted sleeves and lace trim at the neck and cuffs.

This can be worn either way round. The cropped, open-front construction gives it a surprisingly contemporary feel.

Fully laced, it measures 31” at the bust and 24” at the waist.

Now sold - An extraordinary late 19th-century ivory silk wedding bodice, circa 1885-1895.

Silk floral brocade and extravagantly trimmed with ruched silk chiffon sleeves, pearl-beaded passementerie and deep fringe around the neckline. Beautifully distressed and full of faded grandeur.

Available - An interesting deconstructed silk bodice dating to around 1840-1855, offering a glimpse into the craftsmanship of early Victorian dressmaking.

Constructed in ivory cotton with remnants of the rose-pink silk over-lay panels, it is finished with delicate pleated silk gauze ruffles at the neckline and shoulders. The beautifully preserved interior reveals hand-sewn boning channels, the original waist stay with worked hooks, and meticulous red seam finishes throughout, making it an outstanding study piece as well as a beautiful display object.

Ideal for study or contemporary styling.
