Is this a celebration?
It might be… a tentatively exciting one 🥳🥂
Mostly a celebration of finding this VERY VERY TASTY Pinot Gris 2023, from , the aroma on this made my eyes wide with excitement and from my reaction you can tell how the first mouthful went down!
Their tasting notes read like:
“Enchanting lemon zest, green apple and honeysuckle aromas lead to moreish and elegant citrus fruit flavours on the palate, with lovely weight and a long saline finish.”
I would say that I immediately got an almond-y richness & sweetness of marzipan on the nose but the taste of the saline note running throughout, freshened by the zesty-citrusness meant this wine was incredibly easy to drink… and it was a good thing we only had the bottle and not the 1.5Ltr pouches that it is also available as.
And being able to sit with a lit candle is a lovely mid-summer joy that the recent temperatures have mostly compromised, but with this one having been made by Mr S&Vs at a recent x workshop, did really give me a moment of mindfulness in creating this for you!
What else can I say, a trade application is being sent to ThirstyBirds in the morning, and a timeline of payments for my new lease is being proposed(!)
Which also means I think the Crowdfunder will also be launched this week…!!!
