🎉 Twang Guitars Turns 21! 🎸

To celebrate 21 years of music and community, we’re hosting a special event at Off the Cuff, Herne Hill (just by the station) on Sunday 30th November, from 5pm to 10pm — it is a school night, after all!

Enjoy an evening packed with five fantastic live acts, a brilliant raffle, and a diverse mix of music — from Jazz, Soul, and R&B to Indie Rock and Ska, featuring plenty of well-loved tunes.

We’re especially thrilled to welcome Nadeem Leigh, former contestant on The Voice (2013)!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦All ages are welcome.

All proceeds will go to the Twang Music Foundation, supporting free music lessons for children in three local schools and a community guitar class at the Queen Adelaide Community Centre in Penge.

We were delighted to see someone in our local community went to the trouble of crocheting these lovely three servicemen on the post box outside the Post Office in Penge to commemorate Remembrance day.

Pop in for a poppy at Twang Guitars to support the Royal British Legion and all the good work that they do.

We were very delighted to have a lovely chat with the Right Honourable Rachel Reeves MP and her sister Ellie Reeves MP at Twang Guitars yesterday afternoon. We were also introduced to Liam Conlon who will be our local Labour candidate at the next general election. We wish them every success for the future.

Shopping at your local music shop such as Twang Guitars also supports your local community. We are proud to say that many of our staff live and/or have grown up around Penge! Our employees have a vast knowledge about our instruments and repairs, and many of whom are instrumental teachers too. At Twang Guitars we pride ourselves in being able to offer guidance to both newbies and seasoned professionals.

You may know us as the music shop on the corner of Penge High Street, who also offers music tuition in a large variety of instruments: Twang Guitars & Music Academy. Now, Twang has formed a musical charitable foundation in the Borough of Bromley which aims to make music tuition accessible to economically disadvantaged children in local schools: Twang Music Foundation.

We are really excited to start this new chapter with you all. We hope that we can make a difference.
