ClearShield® Protection Specified for Major West London Estate Refurbishment Project
International, of ® , technology, is delighted to provide its glass surface for a major block project in West London.
The multi-million pound project, awarded to a leading and refurbishment , includes external and internal refurbishment works such as , cavity wall insulation, external wall insulation, roof renewals, repairs, door renewals, fire alarm installations, sprinkler installations and decoration. The works are being carried out across five high-rise tower blocks of flats, of which their heights vary from nine to eleven storeys.
As part of the refurbishment, the glass required an effective easy-clean treatment that could be applied . The Ritec ClearShield Eco-System®, developed for the , ‘non-stick’ and of glass with nearly 45 years of track records was the perfect fit and ultimately .
Consequently, Ritec trained up the contractor’s staff in its North London facility to apply the ® on-site. The training included the removal of any existing on the glass with specialist Ritec renovation products before the application of , ClearShield® liquid-applied surface treatment. After curing, the once-ordinary glass surface will become higher performance ClearShield Eco-Glass® that and , look like new for longer as well as reducing frequency, saving maintenance time and costs. Cleaner glass maximises light transmission which helps to increase the comfort and wellbeing of the towers’ occupants. Additionally, ® protects the surface before, during and after construction so while the works are carried out, it will resist the of contaminants such as from , and , dust and other construction materials. This helps to minimise delays as removal is made much easier thanks to the ‘non-stick’ surface.
Ritec supplied enough product to the building contractor to treat around 3,000m² of glass in situ. As part of Ritec’s commitment to quality assurance, On-Site Specialists visited the site on a few occasions to supervise application, ensuring standards were being adhered to.
With the contractor’s on-site staff fully-versed in the application of the ClearShield Eco-System®, this means they have the ability to renovate and protect glass surfaces in future refurbishment projects.
