Though it's not chocolate and actually it doesn't contain any chocolate but definitely wanted to show you. It's our famous and gorgeous 'Krémes' dessert and this one is a really good recipe with detailed instructions. Though it's a bit time consuming to make, but definitely worth every minute. ☺️
If you give it a try, please let me know how did you like it. ☺️

The Hungarian version of the famous cremeschnitte goes under the name krémes, meaning creamy. It combines two layers of...

Yep, the cocoa looks like this when it's freshly harvested from the tree. No, the chocolate isn't gonna grow like a bar or so. 😅🍫
It's actually a quite long process to get it as a ready to eat product. Cocoa has an interesting and beautiful journey before it reaches the final consumers. ☺️

What's are your thoughts on this? Did you know how it looks like? 😄
Would you like to know more about the steps and the process? If yes, please let me know in a comment. ☺️

A TikTok video shared by a woman named Sophia Rose has left people feeling 'uncomfy' and 'terrified' after it showed what a cocoa pod actually looks like

Had to try something completely different. The small holes are not made by accident, it's intended to look like this. 😄🌒🔬

I'll give it another go later. It isn't perfect, but it was definitely fun to make. I made these yesterday late night and it's a bit long process. I didn't have the energy to spray another mould, wait a few hours and then temper another batch of chocolate, so next time. 🌃😅

It's actually shiny as usually, just hard to take a proper photo of them.

What do you think of it? Do you like this new trend or prefer the smooth surface? ☺️

(or not sure if it even has a name already, but I call it like this atm 😀)

We'd like to welcome our new Followers!

And we'd like to introduce you 'Plum Pálinka' 💜

Those who are with us for a bit longer time already and following our page as well, they probably noticed FB was the place where I used to write about our new flavours, the ingredients, the process and such things.

I like to travel (Janos sadly not so much 🤭) and I get lots of inspirations and ingredients too on these trips. For this flavour combination I didn't have to go too far as I brought the ingredients from our homeland.

Got bunch of questions what pálinka is exactly and why is it different from other alcoholic drinks?

Pálinka (palinka) is a traditional fruit spirit in Central Europe, it's known under several names and was invented in the middle age.
It's protected as a geographical indication of the European Union.

Only those products can be referred to the this name which are made from Hungarian fruits, have 100% fruit content and got 37,5% of alcohol strength as a minimum, processed 100% and even bottled in the country.
While pálinka may be made of any locally grown fruit, the most common ones are plum 💜, apricot, apple, pear, and sour or sweet cherries.

Pálinka is similar to cocoa/chocolate in many aspects actually. The possibilities are endless and you can find lots of different versions and makers but none of these will be the exact same.
We have similar competitions and awards for pálinka, like the chocolate industry has for all kind of amazing choc products.
(I think I never want to be a judge in such a competition...🙃😄🤪)

For our bonbons we choose the best ones, we use multi award winning ones only. Like all the other ingredients, pálinka has to be the highest quality.

Our latest delivery recently has arrived, from different destilleries as we don't use a strict brand only. So many new flavours will be available soon. 🥃

And I think it's important to mention, that besides 'Plum Pálinka' bonbon we have not one, but two award winnings already which were made using this incredible delicious intense fruit spirit.

'Pear Pear' is made with Williams 🍐 and 'Good Morning' is made using 🍇 from the world famous Tokaji region. 😊

Today's sweet treat at Realm of Cream. As usual, everything was made from scratch. Aaaaand contains chocolate as well. 😄😋

Bundt cake with chocolate on top and sprinkled with some caramelized desiccated coconut.
Love 🍫 and 🥥 together. Though it's rainy outside, this flavour combination always brings lovely summer vibes inside.

Used a 72% single origin dark chocolate, which was made from Columbian cocoa beans.

Reduced sugar content as always and gluten-free too. ☺️

Still unbelievable this happened to us. 😊
In the video we weren't able to say everything we wanted because we had to keep it short, so I thought I'll share with you what we originally planned to say. 😊

Dear chocolate lovers of the world,

We are very sorry that we couln't be with you on such a prestigious evening this.

We are touched and honoured by have chosen Realm of Cream for the Academy of Chocolate's Golden Bonbon Award.

We are privileged to have the task to take pure bean-to-bar chocolates, the finest spirits, nuts and other ingredients and bring them together to give a new exciting taste and form.

We just hoped to be recognised, but awarded with the Golden Bonbon offsets our highest hopes. We are a 2-person-strong company with just two years behind us. I wish other small chocolatiers look at our case as an inspiration to show themselves because we are the example that the Academy of Chocolate Awards is not about brand value and balance sheet, but the products.

It's been a challenging year... everyone lost someone and something; family members, friends, colleagues, the luckiest ones, just revenue. But regardless of all these losses, it is great to see that fine chocolate making remain fine. I'd like to thank the organisers and the jury for the tremendous effort to make this competition happen in 2020.

Thank you very much for everything. 😊

Two Hungarian 'cheese' dessert made onto this list.

'Túró Rudi' (7th on this list) is probably the most beloved sweet treat in our country. It's a no baked chilled dessert.
Túró Rudi is the name of a curd snack which has been popular in Hungary since 1968. The bar is composed of a thin chocolate-flavored outer coating and an inner filling of túró (curd). The "Rudi" in the product name comes from the Hungarian "rúd", which translates to rod or bar (and is also a nickname for the name "Rudolf"). Túró Rudi can be made in several different flavours and sizes.
It's available technically in all supermarkets. Traditionally it was plain, unflavoured and dark chocolate covered, but nowadays it's available in very interesting flavour combinations. Like plum jam for example. 😉 Definitely my absolute favourite one now. You know already how much I love everything about plum. 🤩💜

And the other version is the 'Rákóczi Túrós' (21st on the list) which is a baked dessert. Rákóczi túrós is a Hungarian curd cheese cake. The base is a thin shortcrust pastry, followed by a layer of sweetened curd cheese that is topped with meringue and apricot jam. This tasty cake is named after János Rákóczi, a Hungarian master patissier who invented it for the 1958 Brussels World Expo. 🍑

Have you tried them already? What are your thoughts? Loved or hated them? 😛

What is your favourite cheese cake? ☺️ 🥧

Lovely memory from 2018.
Attended to this amazing 'Mirror glaze' course 3 years ago in Budapest. We made everything from scratch, it was a really comprehensive course. Even the biscuits and meringues as well were made there. I have learned a lot, it was one of my favourite workshops for sure.
Every year I used to go to such courses, but unfortunately the past year wasn't the year to travel and do such things. Looks like this year will be the same in this aspect. Even if we don't have cakes on the menu I find these workshops very useful and important. The filling, the mousse are made from chocolate and the glaze itself has a high chocolate content so it's kinda chocolate related training. 😄😋 I find it incredible how versatile chocolate can be. 🍫
Now we cannot travel, but it doesn't mean I cannot learn new things. 😉 Just in a bit different way. And now I can have the chance and time to have more and deeper theoretical knowledge. Like cocoa bean roasting, bean to bar chocolate making, etc. ☺️
