We are selling our gorgeous 2 bedroom flat above the shop. Situated literally 1 minute across the road from Forest Hill station, and the Horniman museum and gardens less than 10 minutes walk away it’s in a fantastic location.
Our late Victorian building has high ceilings and lots of light, two bedrooms, original floorboards, and the bestest pink vintage shower room one could ever ask for… Not forgetting the beautiful private garden to look out onto and use with permission.
Low service charge, 999 year lease, chain free and a really cool shop beneath (now Better Things).
On the market for £350k, suitable for a first time buyer, light, airy and cute vintage style decor. It’s a blank canvas to make it your own!
Cyrus and I are the freeholders and we love this building very much, so we are very much present.
Please share with anyone that might be interested.

DM and I’ll share the link!

Here I am at 50 years old today ✨

Half a century deserves a spot on the grid!
Sewing until the early hours and then again this morning to finish my outfit for lunch. Sewing the buttons on in the car on the way and one hem pinned 🤪 Why does sewing always take so long?! What I mean is we all go - ‘oh yeah just got to do this and this and this and then it’s done’ 40 years at a sewing machine and still no better at managing my expectations 😂

ANYWAY…. I have spent YEARS not making myself anything. Sketching, pattern making, buying fabric but when it comes to making I might start but always end up shelving it; or it’s a quick toile from an old bed sheet that I end up wearing ‘that’ll do!’. Because something else needs my attention. My family, my work, the daily jobs that go unnoticed in running a home, shopping , cooking, feeding, juggling finances, washing etc etc etc….

So I had a vision - a wise friend told me she was clearing space for her 50th year. Reflecting on what didn’t serve her anymore and moving forward with what does.

Inspired by this thats exactly what I’m doing! I have spent almost half my life being a mother. For which I am grateful and blessed. But now I feel the time has come for me. To do what makes my heart sing. Make work in my studio, no matter what it is and make the time for it. Doing what I love- Which is making. I’ve always loved it and I always will. Making all sorts of s**t. My career goals for forever were ‘I just want to make beautiful things’. So making the time to make myself this outfit (even though it was almost an all nighter, sigh IYKYK) was my BEACON! My silk shirt (hastily drafted yesterday) and my beautiful blue wool trousers were my gift to myself. My vanguard and herald to take me across the threshold into my new chapter✨

I couldn’t have been happier to wear them today to a glorious lunch with my beautiful family. Then home with ‘Pascal’ on my shoulder and Katie Price on the telly ✨

How lucky am I? Now I’m going to bed!!

Dreadfully missed and

Beautiful dead stock Jaeger superfine wool from and a triumphant feed up
