Happy lunar new year! It’s the year of (water) rabbit and supposedly the luckiest of all 12 animals. After three years of chaos and strings of unfortunate events, I hope that the new year will bring good health and happiness to everyone!

Three of the Rooca card games have sold out already, but we still have some left - Rocca Monster and the new Choro game. There are also a few wonderfully illustrated limited edition Gardeners playing cards by Kim Garden from Korea.

I have met many craft makers/stall sellers at different markets in the past, but Arabella Duffy is certainly the youngest of all. She is ten years old and makes peg dolls and other miniature toys from upcycled materials. I stumbled upon her stall ‘Arabella makes’ in Hampstead, and it was a joy to meet her. She is already a local celebrity, and has been featured in the local newspaper, as well as appearing on Channel 4. What a talented young girl!

Grateful to receive orders from our loyal customers over the last few days! There are still many goodies available for purchase; our sale will stay on until the end of month!

Our e-shop will be closing at the end of the month! It has been an incredible journey that lasted 11 years. Thank you so much for all your support over the years.
There are many external factors but also internal ones as I want to pursue my personal creative projects at this stage of my life.
We may return again in the future, but the location, content and format may differ. The e-shop will continue to trade until the end of the month, and everything has been reduced to clear.
I will keep updating the instagram account and blog in the future, so you can keep following my personal journey if you wish.

A fascinating (and rather sad) talk by textile artist Eleanor Burkett on Japanese textile and paper-making, and her encounter with the last paper-making artisan Koichi Anzai in Fukushima. Anzai san is the last artisan who makes kamikawasaki,a kind of washi/kozo paper made in rural Fukushima. He has no successor and the craft is about to vanish. Eleanor is helping to promote this dying craft before it completely disappears.

Stumbled upon this fascinating exhibition of Columbian art and craft at Cromwell place. I was especially drawn to the intricate woven kozo paper works - they are fantastic!

Norwegian craft and design at Cromwell Place: there were some cool objects at the exhibit curated .site I particularly liked the pen-holding blind (and I want one too).
