Wear your clothes!!

It’s not just denim that fades. Here’s a great example of some wash and wear on a pair of Allevol’s Baker Pants in black. Tomo’s worn these hard for a good eight months and it shows. Some serious character on display here from plenty of hard work and a lot of use outside in the sun. Good stuff!

The NEAT Standard Chino!

First and foremost a trouser specialist, NEAT designer Daishi Nishino knows what he’s doing when it comes to making a great pair of chinos. The brand’s Standard Chino model has quickly become one of our favourite cuts and we’re excited to be able to offer it to you this year in a selection of perfectly washed out colours and fabrics.

This particular pair is a little different, with the usual lightweight cotton being subbed out for a sturdier duck canvas. This has been given a good wash to soften and break in the fabric for a remarkably comfortable pair of trousers. Feels a bit like the dressy alternative to a good pair of old Carhartt double knees, and we’re big fans.

Whether you go for these or the classic cotton alternative, the cut you’re getting here is a high rise, roomy one with a subtle taper toward the hem. Two inward facing double pleats enhance the silhouette whilst offering a good amount of room in the top block. A merge of Ivy League aesthetics and contemporary Japanese craftsmanship, these are really very good. Find them in-store and online now.

Some quality Warehouse & Co production on display here in the form of the new lot 4113 striped tee and the John Gluckow Netmakers in the nicely battered Used Wash.

Also present (briefly, it’s hot) is that delicious new Corb II by Coherence in the ultra light and breezy weather resistant cotton of theirs. Will sort you out in a summer shower and also happens to drape beautifully when partnered with the vintage style A-Line silhouette the Corb II is cut to. Light enough for you to shove in a tote bag in a pinch.

Full Count are up there with the best when it comes to a convincing vintage wash, and we’re really enjoying their new Santa Monica wash on the 0105 cut at the minute. More of a sun bleached Californian fade compared to the ever popular Dartford wash. They’ve also chucked a bit of dirt down the front of both legs. We like that, actually.

Something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time - the Lot.269SP Steerhide Engineer Boots from Attractions.

Sitting within the brand’s Biltbuck line, the Lot.269 Engineer has become one of their most celebrated designs with a refined silhouette inspired by classic dress shoes. Robust construction and elegant proportions come together to create a boot that transitions effortlessly between smart and casual wear. Produced using some beautiful chrome-tanned steerhide that will patina and age incredibly with wear and abuse. In store and online now!

These new Soundman shirts are a bit of us this summer. Dubbed the Shark II (cool), they’re cut from a Madras check which has been pigment-coated for a muted, understated interpretation of the traditional pattern. A fantastic take on the whole leisure shirt thing that looks and feels great to wear. Available in the brown check pictured as well as a stealthier grey option.

Worn here with the Luckyman Gurkha shorts from Allevol as well as one of the brand’s loopwheel sweatshirts to hand for the evening. Wakouwa deck shoes getting the steps in.

Warehouse’s short sleeve sweats back in for the season. Get ‘em while they’re hot as these always go fast!

Worn here with something special from Jelado - a pair of heavily distressed 311W Painter Pants. This is a really limited pair and we’ve managed to get just five pairs! Each pair undergoes an intensive finishing process to recreate the character of a well-worn vintage original. Carefully applied distressing includes worn pocket openings, frayed hems and areas of fabric thinning, with hand and machine repairs reinforced by backing fabric where required.

Tomo wears The Real McCoy’s US Navy Service Coat.

A clear recreation of the coat issued to US Navy Officers back in the day, it combines military formality with the refinement of modern tailoring. A serious bit of Japanese militaria repro in disguise as a really beautiful double breasted blazer. You could think of it as a peacoat for cocktail parties. How fun.
Worn here with some crackers from The real Mccoys - the tiger camo civilian trousers as well as one of the 2pack undershirts. Julius Tart keeping the eyes safe and Paraboot keeping the feet cool. First Arrow’s around the neck to finish it off.
