🍾We’re having a party to celebrate the opening of our new store!

We remember going into 7-Eleven growing up, entranced by deliciousness wrapped in garish branding. Slush puppies and pick n mix.

In the pandemic, we lost our jobs and opened Grocery Post on Highgate Avenue. Two kids in their mid-thirties still enthralled by flavour and design piled high.

Earlier this year, when we saw 280 West End Lane, we knew it was calling out for cornershop deluxe. An old Express Dairy that used to sell milk, coffee and bread. We went to the bank and borrowed big.

In July, we opened with what money was left. We weren’t ready and we still have more to do - a customer bar, wine by the glass and that pick n mix. But we’re made up we’ve got to this point and we could do with a beer.

Shout out to the WH team, Moira, Lizzie, Sam, Riley and Dona. This party on Friday is for you.

I know we normally do snappy but it means nobody knows who we are, where we came from, what Highgate is and what more there is to do.
