Wool decanted

For all machine knitters out there!

We have packaged a very small batch of our vintage 20 4ply yarn on 100gm oiled cones. Worsted spun to a 2/9Nm specification, the yarn is a delicate and fine 4ply equivalent. It produces a beautiful smooth fabric with lovely drape. The yarn can be doubled up to produce a slightly weightier fabric.

It's very cold here today, perfect for chunky slippers!😉

Knitted a few week ago in anticipation of cold weather! Made from using No 6 Super Chunky Ryeland in a gorgeous slate colour.

Fabulous to knit with. Great texture and lovely on the needles. Perfect for cosy winter days.

My first jumper. I’m nervous. But I surely can’t call myself a knitter if I haven’t tackled a jumper!😀

So, I’ve chosen the Ramona Pullover pattern, designed by Elizabeth Smith Knits. And I’m using Aran yarn from Iona Wool. Stitch markers by KnittoFit. In two colours – lichen and silver. The yarn was a Christmas present so I want to make something special to treasure!!
