So what exactly do Guitar Editions do?

Well, we are lovers of all things guitar and music history, and we've used our special skill set to find a way for you to hang famous and iconic instruments in your home.

Like George Harrison's SG here - maybe you can't own the real thing, but we have studied high quality imaging of guitars just like this one and found a way to UV print them in high-quality, showing every colour and curve, and each historical scuff, scrape and customisation in all of its glory - just like the real thing.

We reverse print onto bevelled-edge toughened glass, hand crafting each individually numbered piece in our London workshop.

"The Beatle Backer" - John Lennon's #325 was a particular favourite of his - and Lennon was used in Rickenbacker advertising for many years as a result.

Unlike most vintage hollowbody Rickenbackers, John Lennon’s 1958 325 had neither a soundhole nor elevated pickguard, signifying that it was a very early design of 325. Remarkably lightweight considering its size, the extremely rare guitar was purchased by Lennon in 1960 was originally finished in a natural honey colour. Lennon went on to refinish the guitar in Jet Black in 1963. Despite rumours of the guitar’s theft, Lennon brought it out of retirement in 1972, commissioning Ron DeMarino to restore it and finish it in a Maple colour.

Used on The Beatles’ 'Revolution’, John Lennon's Epiphone Casino provided one of the most famous examples of ‘straight desk guitar’ ever recorded. The extremely overdriven tone is now practically impossible to replicate in its entirety due to the enormous amount of variables in equipment and environment.

Luckily, the beauty of the guitar itself is easier to reflect. The warm, semi-hollow body Casino was one of Lennon’s favourites - and a go to for everything from recordings and live performances to TV and film appearances. He continued to use the Casino in his solo career.

Eric Clapton’s 64 Gibson SG first appeared at Cream’s debut US concert in 1967.

Fondly named “The Fool”, it sold at Sothebys in 2000 for around $150,000. This Guitar Edition shows in full detail the painted customisation by Simon Posthuma and Marijke Koger.

Despite the custom paint job, the rest of the guitar was original Gibson stock - yet Clapton’s talented manipulation of the instrument allowed him to manoeuvre between psychedelic, wah and woman tones.
