Why should we eat raw honey?

Most supermarket honey is likely to be a mix of multiple kinds of honey which have been pasteurised, filtered, and, in some cases, include additives like corn syrup. All this leaves you with little more than liquid sweetener with all the honey’s natural goodness destroyed. But why? Many large retailers prefer to stock consistent honey such as mild, strong etc., which can only be achieved by subjecting raw honey to industrial production.

Raw honey is natural and can vary from vintage to vintage based on regions, hive locations and plant types available to the bees. Raw honey is delicate and requires great care during harvest and processing to retain all the natural enzymes, healthy bacteria and vitamins. Raw Honey is easy to digest and a healthy alternative to refined sugar.

If you love honey and want to benefit from all its natural goodness, you should only consume unpasteurised, unfiltered, unprocessed raw honey.

The perfect iced tea!

Pop four Hoogly Tea Bags in a one-litre jug. Fill one-third with boiling or just off boiling water, depending on the tea you choose. Brew for five minutes, then top the jug up with cold water. Pour over ice in a nice glass, and add some fruit and herbs to compliment your tea.

The hardest part is which tea you will choose from our unique range. But don’t fear, we’ve come up with a couple of suggestions.

How about replacing your usual coffee with something cooler.

Iced coffee is just that, a coffee served cold. Brew your coffee in the usual way adding any sweeteners and flavouring while hot, then pour it into a tall glass full of ice and add cold milk.

All our coffee will work this way, with the lighter roasts particularly refreshing, but if you are looking for something remarkable.
