Parol (Filipino Star Lantern). Our bamboo Parol which bub and I made 2 years ago had a makeover I covered it in cardboard and then added a couple of Filipino touches - t’nalak a handoven fabric by tribes from southern Philippines (The fibers are taken from the stalk of the abacá (Musa textilis), a banana plant species native to the Philippines) and banig a handwoven mat made of buri leaves.
