🪄HOW TO CREATE A DREAMY FESTIVE TABLESCAPE🪄
Here’s your ultimate step-by-step guide, created by our founder to help you make these long awaited festivities all the more memorable!
✨Make it sacred
Carefully adorning a space where we come together to celebrate togetherness can be deeply satisfying.
It is an act of devotion - to beauty, to love and more than anything, traditions. So, while you set your table allow yourself to slip into my heart-space and enjoy this process as a moving meditation while you create, adorn and dress the table.
🤍Set the mood
Before you begin, consider the tone you’d like to set and the ambience you’re looking to create.
Will you be hosting family or will it be more of an intimate setting with close friends? This will help you create a tablescape that will reflect your guests.
Once you’ve established this you can get to the fun part.
I typically like to begin with the flowers before moving onto the all-important lighting, table linens, serving platers (to get a rough idea on spacing) and glassware before setting the finishing touches.
🕯Lighting, linens & place settings
Creating an cosy, magical atmosphere is all about getting the lighting right. And when it comes to festive gatherings, I like the gentle glow of candles; tapered and tea lights with a couple of scented 7 Over 7 candles in Wilful Tonic, all laid out at different heights and set in a zig-zag along the middle length of the table. You can have a play here with a range of colours and textures that fit your set colour scheme.
When it comes to place settings, I like to add personalised details, including foliage and the 7 Over 7 hand finished discovery candles as table favours, to bring an extra sense of delight to my guests.
