WE’RE IN SAINSBURY’S!

Just over a year and a half into our journey and we’re stocked in a legendary British Supermarket!

In September, RAISE was selected as 1 of 9 brands (out of 466 applicants) to join a Sainsbury’s accelerator programme called the Thrive programme. The programme was designed to address the issue of equity within food and drink by supporting black founders with delivering innovation to the supermarket shelves. It was, in short, totally transformative for RAISE. Since the programme we’ve secured funding, scaled our team (we’re hiring btw) and most importantly secured precious space on the shelves of a very special supermarket.

RAISE is a small challenger brand which places diversity, equity and inclusion at our core; Sainsbury’s are a big established brand doing their bit too. It’s good to see brands of all sizes, having a positive social impact.

The programme has worked out for us. But the journey is very much in its infancy for RAISE. Without you supporting us by copping a packet of our snacks the next time you see them, our small business isn’t elevating to any new heights, or elevating anybody to any new heights. The first two flavours of RAISE you’ll be able to pick up in Sainsbury’s are Maple Pecan and Caramel Sea Salt. If you give us a try, I promise you there’s a flavour you’ll love, and you won’t look back. And remember, each packet you buy helps to feed a child at risk of hunger in the UK to fuel their learning; it’s a packet of bite-sized goodness for you and for someone else!
