Peel-ology

To enhance your skin treatments, dead skin is polished away from the surface before applying the peel. Once neutralised. A Hyaluronic Acid mask will be placed. This will sit on the skin for 10 mins. During this process you will unwind to a hand or shoulder massage, whilst healing vibrations will be playing in the background. We aim to help release tension in the skin and body.

After a peel the skin can feel tight and sometimes dry. HA Can help to heal, soothe, cool, plump and acts as a hydrator to the skin.

Peel Time

Throughout treatments we will always check in with clients and what feels comfortable for them.

Don’t ever feel like you have to go straight in for 10minutes ‘to achieve maximum results’.

Fact is..You can still obtain results with a 2min duration.

The duration of time that a peel can sit on the skin can increase as you go through your session. Trust the process and reap the rewards of glowing skin👩🏽‍⚕️

As a Londoner myself. We don’t get enough sunlight. Many of us lack vitamin D. And that glorious sun today is giving us an abundance of it!

The sun provides vitamin D for our body, improves our immune function in the skin, supporting bone health, preventing diseases as well as lowering blood pressure.

When you don’t get enough sun exposure, the serotonin levels in your body drop. Meaning that many of us are at higher risk of depression. Sunlight is essential for our well-being by promoting good mental health.

Not only are you protecting your skin from harsh UV rays. SPF is anti-aging and prevents discolouration and uneven skin tone.

There are 2 different types of Sunscreens, Chemical and Physical.

What’s the difference?

Chemical:
Contains chemicals such as avobenzone, octinoxate and octisalate. Absorbs into the skin and converts UV into heat
Less dense than Physical sunscreen.

Physical:
Contains natural compounds or ingredients such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Sits on top of the skin and reflects UVA and UVB

Remember to reapply your SPF through out the day!

Importance of Cleansing your skin.

I used to love facial wipes! They was my go to simply because they’re quick and convenient. Facial wipes only clean the surface of the skin, not the actual pores. It’s time to ditch the wipes and double cleanse!

Through out the day your skin picks up dirt and bacteria from the environment. Double cleansing gives you a through cleanse and allows your skincare products to pe*****te the skin more effectively.

Different types of cleansers.

Oil based cleansers break down sebum and make up. (Cleansing balms, milk cleansers or micelles water).

Water base cleanser, cleans deeper in the pores. (They can come in Cream, foam or gel forms)

Active cleansers such as your AHA and BHA
can help to remove dead skin, improve textured skin, help treat acne prone skin, even skin tone and improve appearance of fine lines.
