🌸🐷🌷The ultimate rosé season on a budget wine. You don’t often get rosé this good, this cheap.🐽🎀👙

🌸 Weekend Wine Pick - Domaine Smith-Chapel Bourgogne Aligote, 2020 🌸

If you’re like us and absolutely soaking up the sun this weekend you need a bottle of Aligote to pair with this weather. Salty, citrus and white flowers on the nose with a refreshing and long lasting palate.

The ‘Bourgogne Aligote’ appellation established in 1937 reflects the terroir with rocky hillside soils providing that stoney freshness which will compliment a sunny March Saturday.

Pelegrims is the brainchild of natural formulator, Alex Verier (previously Director at Haeckels), backed by former tech executive (and Sommelier trained) Jerome Moisan.

Alex says, “Our intention is to formulate low intervention, active skincare formulations that work in harmony with the skin supporting it to heal and rejuvenate itself. Sustainability is hugely important to us, so using waste products from the wine making process and harnessing the powerful grape extracts are at the core of our brand and our future research. We’re looking forward to documenting our product journey in the years ahead”.

Partner vineyard: Westwell Wines

is located just beneath the Pilgrims Way on the North Downs in Kent; a route used for centuries by Pilgrims travelling to Canterbury. The estate boasts an ideal mix of climate, aspect and soil and grows four different varieties - Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Ortega. All the wines are made on-site from estate grown fruit.

Rebecca is our co-founder, she looks after behind the scenes and Claire is our sales assistant, they joined us in November and are an all around positive and wine-passionate vibe. 🍷✌🏻

We’re proud to be a business that is diverse in gender expression and inclusive to all. We continue to platform women and gender non-conforming people in wine, beer & hospitality.

This years IWD theme is Break The Bias. In an industry that is historically male dominated, we’re aiming to continue to through purchasing wine and beer from producers who are women, transgender, gender non-conforming people, culturally diverse and diverse in sexual expression.

🌼 Time for our Mother's Day Charity Wine Tasting Wine Reveal! 🌼

We’re letting you in on a secret and showing you two of our divine bottles of wine we will be showcasing on Sunday 27th March 🥰.

First up we have Duncan Savage 'Salt River' Sauvignon Blanc 2020 - Western Cape, South Africa.
This Sauv B is beautifully complex & intense with notes of freshly cut fennel, green asparagus, yellow baking apples, waxy lemon peel. This segues into a racy body with grapefruit zest, citrus spice, tangerine & a saline finish.

On team Chardonnay we have Domaine Chavy Chouet Les Femelottes 2020 – Burgundy, France. Les Femelottes in Puligny-Montrachet is an exceptional terroir for a Burgundy, producing subtle white wines. This cuvée is very lively. In the mouth, it is supple, fruity, and balanced. We can’t wait to enjoy it in all its freshness with you!

Alongside tasting these wines, we will also give a brief introduction of how to taste each structural element (acid, body, alcohol etc) at the beginning so everyone can enjoy the session to its fullest! We’re keeping the other two wines a secret for now 😉.
We will be donating £10 from each ticket to . Solace Women’s Aid exists to end the harm done through Violence Against Women and Girls. Our aim is to work to prevent violence and abuse as well as providing services to meet the needs of survivors particularly women and girls. Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives free from abuse.

🍷Wine of the week: Valli Unite Alessandrino 2020 🍷

A serious wine for a small price tag, Alessandrino is one of our absolute faves! 80% Barbera with some Dolcetto and Croatina it’s surprisingly complex for an entry level wine. Pure juicy balck fruit sits alongside a nose of smoke and leather for a much more savory feeling wine than most. A must try! 😍😍😍
