Custom Handmade Damascus Steel Hunting/Skinner Knife With Leather Sheath

We choose 15n20 to pair with 1095 for our Damascus steel, it makes up the bright layers in the pattern, as the nickel in the steel resists the ferric-chloride we use to etch blades.
This blade sets between 55 -58 (HRC) on the Rockwell scale.
CARE FOR A DAMASCUS STEEL KNIFE
Most hand forged Damascus steel blades are made of high carbon steel. It can rust when not cared for properly. You will need to make sure the blade remains clean and dry in order to prevent rust or discoloration.
After cleaning and drying your knife, you should lubricate it with wax or Oil to prevent moisture from affecting the blade. This will keep you knife rust-free and maintain its etched beauty.
Avoiding abrasives—rough cloths, metal polishes, steel wool, etc.—is important to maintaining the look and quality of the blade.
Using a microfiber or cotton cloth to dry it, the softer material will not wear the blade.
Don’t store your knife for a long time in leather sheath. Leather can absorb water, which can rust the knife. Use it a little bit once in a while. By taking good care of your Damascus steel knife, your knife will last longer and maintain its unique look
