Here at Essie Bloom, we are becoming increasingly saddened by the enormous amount of extremely cheap white sage that is being so-called ‘ harvested’. As the demand for wellness & spiritual products is growing, more & more unethical practices are now occurring & a lack of knowledge & concern are greater now than ever.. these companies seem to care very little for the damage they are creating to the planet.. only two words come to mind - cheap & profit.

We’ve always been aware & we are very respectful to the indigenous people from whom these gifts originated. We know that some people believe that it should only stay within these tribes and we understand that line of thought entirely. Therefore, we do our part the very best we can & we’ve taken our time to work with other suppliers who have the same ethical values.

We know that you & all of our amazing followers & customers are very genuinely spiritual .. therapists, grievance counsellors, reiki practitioners & those of you practising spiritualism & mindfulness to name but a few.

Most of you personally know me by now & know that I’d never highlight this concern to simply get cheap publicity so that you buy only at Essie Bloom.. just be aware everyone, if suddenly you are seeing extremely cheap so called natural sacred smudges that they’re neither sacred nor cheap.. the earth is paying a huge price for it.

These large White Sage sacred smudges have been made by me using superb ethically sourced white sage. They light and stay lit, are extremely fragrant and absolutely perfect for energy cleansing.
