Paid £120 for a spa treatment and left thinking… “was that it?” 😭
This conversation started on my stories after someone said they’d paid for a treatment that felt like a “gentle rub” and the replies were sooooo telling...
One person said it’s hard to find anyone who actually works the muscles and body, another said spa days always feel expensive with add ons and still somehow mediocre, someone else said this is why they won’t go to anyone else (other than me🤫)
Honestly!!! This is exactly why I’ll always champion small, independent practitioners.
You’re not just paying for a treatment, you’re paying for the person behind it - their hands, their experience, their attention to detail, their ability to notice where your body is holding tension, how your skin is behaving, how stressed your nervous system feels and what you actually need that day.
And I want to make it clear that this isn’t about blaming spa therapists either, because someone else made such a good point - many of them are on basic hourly pay, massaging client after client, often exhausted themselves - it’s the system.
When you book with a solo practitioner, you’re not just another body on the bed, you’re being treated by someone who has built their work around care, intention, skill and real results.
Your face, skin and body deserve more than a rushed routine and a “gentle rub”, they deserve to be properly listened to.
DM me to book your treatment 🤍
