Decor has a unique way of elevating spaces to evoke a special type of feeling. We know that wherever this design ends up, it will leave viewers mesmerised by its beauty. 😍

This design was created using the ‘Karakami’ technique, which is a traditional Japanese method of pattern printing. 🌿

It is exclusively printed on a special mulberry tree pulp paper called washi. By using a carved woodblock, or ‘hangi’, and generally applying a single colour to the block, artists are able to make beautiful and intricate patterns. These patterns are then applied to sliding doors known as ‘fusuma’, wallpaper, and other washi objects.

Happy International Women’s Day from Lady Lane Market & Kitchen! 💜

Here are some of the many faces that make London’s first women-led market as special as it is. ✨

As you may know, Lady Lane Market was created to help more women, from all backgrounds, to trade on London’s street markets. It was identified by the local authority that currently over 90% of all market traders are and have historically been male. Lady Lane Market was created to of the traditional male-dominated market traders. 💪🏼

In celebration of International Women’s Week, these spectacular women will be at from Thursday to Saturday, holding market stalls and cooking up delicious meals in the evening. 😋

International Women's Day and Women's History Month are just around the corner! Are you as excited as we are? 😃

To celebrate we are delighted to announce that our Lady Lane Market traders and Lady Lane Kitchen cooks will be hosted at The Canvas Café & Creative Venue for a special three–day celebration, and you’re invited!

These talented and tenacious ladies are joining forces at the women-run The Canvas to bring a pop up restaurant and indoor market.

The dining experience is a fusion of all the cuisines from the Lady Lane Kitchen cooks - expect to enjoy Ethiopic, Caribbean, Bengali, Middle Eastern and Thai fusions in a three-course spectacular all for just £20 pp!

Our Lady Lane Market traders will also run their indoor market throughout the dates too, selling homemade crafts and gifts, handmade with love by these local female entrepreneurs.

Ethiopic Kitchen's food is bright and multi-coloured, something Woin, the founder, says is all down to the way they eat in Ethiopia. Multiple dishes are served on one large tray and you then dip in with your hand and combine the dishes however you’d like. According to Woin, it’s best to combine the dishes in each mouthful.
