Building on his history of incredible hand-craft, in 2018, Stefan Kudoke launched a new calibre in collaboration with the team at Habring.

The K1 and K2 models that were built to house it are choc full of the independent spirit that has enamoured the knowledgeable collectors of today.

This K2 proudly puts the hand engraved day/night disc centrally at 12 and a similarly engraved balance c**k reaching towards the escapement is visible through the case back.

Biver, Automatique Atelier ‘Carbon Edition’

In 2023, Jean-Claude Biver began distilling a lifetime of horological experience into a new watch brand, independent of the large luxury groups controlling so much of the industry.

Launching the eponymous brand with his son at his side, there is a clear dedication to absolute quality at every level of manufacture, as well as a celebration of traditional craftsmanship.

The Automatique Series houses Biver’s exceptional micro-rotor cal. JCB-003, with a 65-hour power reserve and hacking seconds.

Finished without compromise, the movement is particularly striking for its clous de Paris bridges and lavish black polishing.

This example, in 18ct 3N yellow gold, is believed to be the first offered for private sale and the first from the Carbon series.

This model is part of the ‘Joker’ collection - the iconic rictus grin houses the moon phase, whilst the hour and minute indicators are the eyes that madly revolve around their axes.

Cased in titanium, and engraved with the “Five of a Kind” symbols on the case, symbolising luck, but also a nod to one of the Joker’s favourite weapons.

The craftsmanship in this limited edition of 88 stands out with the guilloché relief used to decorate the Joker’s nose.

The F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain is an icon of modern haute horlogerie. This off-catalog combination is cased in an 18K 6N gold case and sports a white-gold dial.

The reference is identifiable by its small-seconds subdial at 6 o’clock and a centered power-reserve display at 12 o’clock, improving visual balance. With seconds now shown on the subdial, the tourbillon aperture no longer needed seconds markers; the subdials and aperture are joined by a single screwed steel frame, and a shorter black-polished tourbillon c**k sits within the aperture for enhanced symmetry.

This off-catalog Tourbillon Souverain combines technical achievement with strong collector appeal for buyers who prize provenance, performance and rarity.
