How do I feel now?
an exhibition of drypoint prints by Chris Christodoulou
The exhibition features new prints made in response to an epic 100m + drawing that Chris worked on for over three years, which was shown at Corpus Christi Church in Brixton last year.
Chris says "The threads that run through the imagery are themes of memory, loss, love and death. The series of prints exhibited are inspired by the drawing, but use drypoint printing for for its transformational qualities and often ominous dark atmosphere …."
A black and white old photo, an old Greek song, a crucifix icon, strike intense feelings of loss of home, love - a lost ideal.
Works like ‘Girlfriend in a wheelchair’ and ‘Dark Horizon’ speak of these psychological spaces. The audience are invited to take this journey and reflect on their own inner feelings. How do I feel now? for Chris, is an expression of thoughts and feelings that twist and turn, pull and push the past and present on a daily basis.
The exhibition is open on Saturday and Sunday, 12.00- 5.00pm until 5 July. Chris will give a talk about his work at the exhibition Closing Party on Sunday 5 July at 4.00pm.
