A little late posting this one, but we were delighted to donate some drinks and chocolate treats to support the Seesaw grief support golf day. It was fantastic to be able to help keep everyone refreshed and fuelled throughout their round of golf, all while raising money for such an amazing cause.

Seesaw do incredibly important work supporting children, young people and families through bereavement, providing vital support during some of the most difficult times in life. Events like these not only help raise essential funds, but also bring the community together to support a charity that makes such a huge difference to so many people.

A massive well done to everyone involved in organising the day, taking part and helping to raise money for such a worthwhile cause. We’re always proud to support local charities and community events whenever we can!

Always happy to help out — starting the day with a good breakfast is so important, especially during exam season.

Always happy to help out — starting the day with a good breakfast is so important, especially during exam season.

This exam season, we’ve been supporting our students with a morning “Wake Up & Shake Up” session.

Each day, students come together before their exams to enjoy a juice and a slow-release energy snack, alongside simple regulation exercises to help them feel calm, focused, and ready to do their best.

A huge thank you to Abingdon Tesco for making this possible through their generous donation of juice cartons, flapjacks, and bananas Your support is helping our students start their day in the best possible way! Abingdon Extra - Supporting the community

We were delighted today to present a cheque for £1,000 to Marcham Colts Football Club, supporting their fantastic teams from Under 7s right through to Under 11s.

During their visit, the players also got stuck in with some bag packing for our customers, helping to raise an additional £300. This brought the grand total to an incredible £1,300! It was brilliant to see the team so engaged—showing confidence, teamwork, and a real willingness to get involved in their community while picking up valuable life skills along the way.

The funds raised will make a real difference, going towards new equipment for each age group as well as essential repairs to their football pitches, helping to ensure the club can continue to provide a great environment for young players to learn, develop, and enjoy the game.

We’re really excited to be launching a brand-new in-store campaign designed to encourage healthier eating habits for children in our community. It’s a small step that we hope will make a big difference, helping families make more positive food choices and showing that healthy options can be simple, accessible, and enjoyable.

As part of the campaign, we’re giving away a free apple to every child who comes in store with their family. Whether you’re doing your weekly shop or just popping in for a few bits, it’s a great opportunity to grab a healthy snack on the go. You can find the apples at our display stand, conveniently located by the Stronger Starts voting unit, just opposite the customer service desk.

We’ll be running this campaign from now until Sunday 31st May, so there’s plenty of time to pop in, get involved, and take advantage of this healthy giveaway. We’d love for you to join us in promoting better choices for young people—every little helps 🍏
