A full double ended zip is easy to slip on when you feel the first signs of rain. Deep pockets will enable you to keep a few essential items safe and dry; and drawcords on the hood allow you to tighten the fit to keep it stable and you well protected. Fully lined hood. Under arm zip opening!

“A favorite in the cold months of winter, the warm and cozy puffer coat is a classic garment that comes back every year because of its practical purpose outside of its stylish look. The history of the puffer coat comes—like many legendary trends—from an accident. In 1935, hiker Eddie Bauer, owner of a sporting and hunting goods shop in Seattle, collapsed from fatigue and nearly died from hypothermia during a fishing trip with a friend in mid-winter.
Following this event, Bauer realized that there was no sufficiently light, warm, and waterproof jacket on the market to adequately protect the body from harsh temperatures and bad weather. A couple of exchanges with some goose down suppliers and voilà: in 1936, the first down jacket, the Skyliner, patented in 1940, was born.
Since its inception, this functional, yet stylish jacket has become a cult favorite for outdoorsmen and fashion girls alike. It had its first encounter with luxury fashion in 1937 with designer Charles James’ quilted down satin evening jacket. Later, it intersected with streetwear looks of the '80s and '90s. Don’t be bombed out with the weather.. get one of these bomber jackets instead!

Bomber jackets were known as 'flight jackets' and were created by the US Army Aviation Clothing Board in 1917. While many of us complain today when an airline doesn't have enough legroom or decent entertainment, WWI pilots had to fly in fighter planes with uninsulated, open-air cockpits!!

Cargo pants were first worn in 1938 by British military personnel. These cargo pants were part of their Battle Dress Uniforms (BDUs). The original cargo pants style featured one pocket on the side thigh and one on the front hip. Cargo pants were first worn in the United States on military uniforms in the 1940s. The side cargo pockets initially were only on paratroopers’ uniforms, providing them with easy access to ammunition and radios.

Cargo pants surged onto the fashion scene in the mid-to-late 1990s. Following a “trickle up” theory of how fashions spread, cargo pants first were worn as fashion by urban hip-hop performers in the 1990s. This trend flowed up to the mass market; cargo pants were ubiquitous at almost any men's or women's clothing retailer at this time. Although the cargo pockets on most items were functional, they often were unused and just worn as decorative details.
