One of the things we love most about designing patterns is that no two months are ever quite the same... 💖

Over the years we've released all sorts of creatures, characters and curiosities, but even we had to smile when we realised this month's new patterns were...

That's part of what makes ThreadABead so much fun for us. One month an idea arrives from one direction, the next from somewhere completely different, and somehow they all end up sharing the same little corner of our beading world.

Inspired by the retro toy robots my brother and I loved playing with back in the 1980s, BeadyBot has actually been years in the making. My brother has been asking me for the longest time when I was finally going to turn one into beadwork... and at last, here he is! ❤️

With his chunky little feet, shiny gold details, glowing control panel and ruby-red beacon, BeadyBot is packed with nostalgic charm and just the right amount of robot personality.

A whole day dedicated to celebrating one of the most lovable little creatures on the planet… playful, curious, slightly mischievous, and always happiest floating together 🥹
