So, about that news I mentioned a few weeks ago... Get comfortable—this is going to be quite the read!
With our growing community of followers and customers, I want to take a moment to share a bit about our brand's story. RW Floats was born from a lifelong passion for fishing and a relentless pursuit of perfection, thanks to our founder, Richard Wilson. Richie set out to create the ultimate range of handmade, match-winning pole floats.
But he didn’t embark on this journey alone. He collaborated with some of the UK’s top match anglers, including Andy Bennett, Paul Holland , Stephen Parry, and Kristian Jones who have been instrumental in designing and testing both our original and new prototype floats. Our motto? “Always innovating, never imitating!”
We source only the finest materials from around the globe, and despite being a small team, we work hard to keep up with the high demand for our products. This dedication speaks volumes about the quality of our offerings and our customer service. Because of this commitment, there may occasionally be a wait for new stock. Expanding our team might compromise our quality control—something many float makers have learned the hard way. For us, it’s all about quality over quantity!
Now, I’m thrilled to introduce our two newest team members for 2026 and the tail end of 2025:
** Jordan Holloway Fishing**
Jordan needs no introduction if you’re familiar with the angling scene. An incredibly talented and established angler, we believe he is destined for even greater achievements.
** Langley**
At just 16 years old, Billy is the youngest member of our team, yet he already boasts an impressive CV of angling accomplishments. His dedication and passion for the sport shine through in everything he does. A member of Ramsbottom Angling Association, he’s a regular at Tunnel Barn Farm, one of our favorite fisheries that hosts some of the best match festivals in the UK year-round.
