Very special set of Harrisons 12’6 Aviators and matching net

Was contacted by a customer asking could I build him a set of rods with his grandads ashes incorporated into the build

His grandads name was Alan and after talking with the customer i got to find out Alan was a really nice bloke and was missed alot

Built the rods and as you can see added some of the Ashes to the logo area just nice and subtle

I was left with a big pot of Alans Ashes so i had a thought and this is were Sandra Clayton the sewing ninja 💪 came to the rescue...I knew Alan supported arsenal so Sandra made a little bag and supplied a nice little bottle to put some of the Ashes in... just a little touch like this means so much and im always very grateful to be trusted with work like this it just nice to be nice ❤️

The customer was over the moon he didn't know anything about the little bag ❤️

Spod Built the same but with matt dps style seat and 12" black marker band

Some full flared shrink and some cork

All the flares are glued and sanded to the blank trying to eliminate a step in the shrink rubber as its shrunk over the flare ..its time consuming and messy but worth the effort...people dont see how much work goes into certain bits on the rods

All done now and ready for tying tomorrow

Not posted much lately just been BUSY 🤦‍♂️

Built these for a customer in New Zealand the furthest i have ever sent a set of rods and a big ty to the customer for trusting me with them ..took there time to get there was super stressful but they arrived all safe and sound with a happy customer 😊
