Some chaps in Khaki!

British Troops in Sudan painted to standard quality in Khaki.
When researching Sudan for the customer it became clear it was a time of transition from Redcoats to Grey to Khaki. We settled on Khaki as it gave the customer the most flexibility for these figures.

Lovely metal sculpts from Perry's.

Some Work in Progress of some Phalangites. Tried a new skin recipe and it gave some really subtle but clear definition.

Painting these for myself and will be painting them fairly generic so they can be used throughout the ancient world.

Last part of the British for the French Indian War. This time some Light Infantry. A key development in the rugged terrain of the Colonies.

Love the dynamic poses on these guys and they painted a fair bit easier than the Line Infantry.

Second part of the British for the French Indian War.

Painted up and flagged as the 1st Royal (Scots) Regiment. I enjoyed the fact that the drummer had the details of his mitre cast in.

Again from conquest minis via Warlord Games.

First part of a new set of figures. Some British Line infantry for French and Indian Wars.

Figures from Warlord Games via Conquest Minis, they were ok to paint, but I have definitely painted nice metal this year.

Final part of the Pikemen/Giant Order. Some Trolls.

Painted these up in Blue to really try and get them to pop on the table for the customer.

I enjoyed the little details on them such as the mushrooms on the log, or the skulls around the belt.

All in all a good project to finish.

Next up some historical.

A little bit more fun with some giants/trolls/cyclopes? Whatever they are to be called they are all part of the same order with the blood and Plunder Pikemen.

Very very fun to paint and ready to cause havoc!

Some Blood and Plunder Pikemen completed for a commission. Felt like I was going to lose an aye getting close to these boys.

As always Blood and Plunder Metal have lots of detail while being so adaptable to different schemes.

A part of a larger order which will coming soon!

Finally added some shields to my Romans, and put them with their command. (Noticed a small mistake on the rim which needs fixing.)

I put a varnish on these chaps after all the painting was done which I don't normally do on plastic and it's allowed these guys to come together lovely.

Time to base now, but I am debating separate bases on a 40x40 base to make it so that they can be removed for different games systems.

2 years ago on the workbench. A mass of Bolt Action figures all ready to go.

Sometimes this huge orders seem like a slog but there is nothing better when you get to see the completed picture.
